The Ridgefield Men’s Club Bridge Group meets at Founder's Hall every Tuesday from 1pm to 4pm. Because of the location you must be a member of Founder's Hall to attend. On average we have 5 tables or 20 players. At each table, 5 rounds of bridge are played and then players rotate according to an established schedule to a different table. This means in an afternoon an individual plays with many different players supporting our fellowship objective. We have a Red Apple Award recognizing the highest score which is popular and coveted since it provides bragging rights until the next week. Each of the players takes a turn being host. The host is responsible for insuring that the proper number of players show up for the planned number of tables. The Group has a full range of both everyday players and experts and all are welcome. Because table rotation is determined by the total number of players scheduled to play, we are unable to accommodate drop-in play. If you would like to participate, please register for the group. You will then be informed on how to get on the schedule. Overall coordinator is Gary Henderson who announces the Red Apple winners at the regular RMC meetings. If you are interested in joining the Bridge Group, contact Gary at 203-438-3002. Substitutes are also welcome who only play when called on. |
